Keith Barrs

Keith Barrs works in the Department of English at Hiroshima Shudo University. His main academic interests are in the fields of linguistic landscape research and corpus linguistics studies. More recently he has also become interested in the impact of AI technologies, not only on the field of language education, but also more generally on the survival of the human species as a whole.

Generative AI is now embedded in everyday classroom tools, offering both automation and content creation. However, questions arise about its impact on students' creativity and the authenticity of digital content. Keith explored the power of different generative AI tools, and their positive and negative impacts on classroom settings.
